What's at issue
Prophetic and apostolic teaching that addresses Proclamation-related doctrine — family, marriage, gender, parenting, sexuality, sanctity of life, or the gospel framework (Plan of Salvation, eternal nature) underlying these teachings. Includes direct discussion of "The Family: A Proclamation to the World," the Family Proclamation, or the Proclamation on the Family — its divine origin, the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles solemnly proclaiming doctrine, conference talks and apostolic statements defending these doctrines; the principle of how living prophets speak for God on moral matters; defense of revealed authority on family-related teaching. Not every utterance from an apostle qualifies — a conference talk on personal conversion, missionary methodology, church administrative changes, or a Book-of-Mormon archaeology study is NOT prophetic-authority unless the talk substantively engages family/gender/marriage doctrine or defends prophetic authority as such.
