Proclamation
From the Pulpit
The Family Proclamation is still being taught. This is the record of where the Church and its leaders have quoted, cited, or taught from it — in general conference, in devotionals, in the Church's magazines, and in the manuals it teaches from — from 1995 to today.

What counts as a reference
An entry appears here when the Proclamation is named, quoted, or cited in a footnote — in general conference, a devotional or forum address, a Church magazine, a manual or curriculum, a broadcast or interview, or a book.
Most entries are attributed to a person. Where a publisher printed an office beside the name, we use it as it stood on the day — a 1998 talk reads "Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles" even for someone who later served in the First Presidency. Some entries have no personal author at all: a manual chapter, a handbook section, an unsigned magazine article. Those are attributed to the publication that issued them, because the Church is the author of its own curriculum. Where a news report carries the reference inside a leader's own quoted words, the entry is credited to that leader rather than to the reporter.
We searched the full text of every talk, article, chapter, and transcript we hold from these venues, then confirmed each match: "the proclamation" also names the 1845 proclamation of the Twelve and the 2020 Restoration Proclamation, and those are not counted here. Where the same item was printed more than once — a talk reprinted in the Ensign, an article translated into the Liahona, a manual reissued in a later year — it is counted once, at its first appearance. Curriculum is published ahead of the year it is taught in, so anything dated in the future is left out until that date arrives.
The list is generated, so it is thorough rather than curated — and that means it can be wrong in individual cases. If you find an entry that does not belong, or know of one we have missed, please tell us.

Still taught, still current
The Proclamation has not been set aside. It continues to be read from the pulpit in general conference, taught in devotionals, printed in the Church's magazines, built into the manuals members and missionaries study from, and quoted by the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve. The record above is simply what that looks like when you gather it in one place.
